I like that and as for bananas, they're fun to play with. Peel a banana, cut a slice off one end and stick your finger down the center of it - you may have to go an inch or two but if it's not too ripe, will separate into three pieces. That's my offering on bananas.

Now for critical thinking, I'd love to know the reason why one side of this political argument differs so much from the other when 50+ years ago, things were much easier to figure out. I think I know who screwed it up but that's obvious. Maybe instead of sticking our fingers into bananas, we should stick our fingers into certain brains and whip them around for realignment. Radical!

I do think a little realignment could be a good thing! As for why one side differs so much from the other side, when 50+ years ago it was easier to figure out. 50 years ago, we differed on policy issues; taxes, education etc. Boring policy stuff. Today it seems to be all about personality or charisma - and I hate to use those fairly positive terms about the one candidate who is anything but a positive influence. Delivering a charismatic personality is one thing, but for that message to be received by thousands or maybe millions of people is beyond puzzling. Many are already indoctrinated into a belief system, where they are told stories to be true and they believe because they are told they must. So that personality is susceptible to that kind of charismatic delivery of information - and they believe. I think they truly do believe he was sent by god and that he's the only one who can fix things. Thank goodness they still are in a minority. It's so very important for people to get out and vote and not sit on the sidelines thinking he couldn't possibly win. If he is elected, I believe it would be the end of our democratic republic. He will have placed his people in powerful positions and so many changes will be made - I'm glad I am the age I am and I'm sorry for my children. There's only one way to stop him and that's with votes - so many votes that even the screwed up electoral college would agree that he lost. (And thanks so much for the comment!)
